Blue Christmas

Fremont is hosting a Blue Christmas worship service December 21st at 4:00pm in the Chapel. This service is different from traditional gatherings as it honors those who are experiencing grief and who are struggling with loss.  You can expect a quiet and contemplative service that focuses on the healing touch of the Holy Spirit and the hope found in our Lord Jesus Christ. Come and be among others who have also experienced a loss. You will find support navigating the holiday season through connecting to an understanding community.

Holiday Giving Opportunities

Christmas Poinsettias

The Christmas celebration at Fremont will be greatly enhanced as members and friends of Fremont dedicate poinsettias in honor and in memory of a friend or a loved one. This Advent, consider purchasing a poinsettia in their name. There will be a listing of the honored or remembered individuals in the bulletin on Sunday, December 22nd. Each plant is $15 and may be dedicated to an individual or couple only. Multiple dedications require multiple plants. The poinsettias will be displayed throughout the church this holiday season. The deadline to purchase is December 15th.

Gifts of Hope Christmas Market

This Christmas Season, think outside the gift-wrapped box and give a gift of hope. Be assured that your support will have a meaningful impact on the lives in our community and the world. Here is the list of vendors and benevolence opportunities that you can give to this holiday season: Do Good Shop, Friends of San Juan De Oriente, United Women Alliance, Heavenly Treasures, International Christian Development Mission, The GreenHouse, Love INC, Mustard Seed School, Shekkacho Ministry in Ethiopia, Earl Warren School, Central Downtown Food Basket, and Jamaica Medical Mission.

Christmas Offering

This year’s Christmas Offering is designated for the diaper distribution programs at Maryhouse and Family Promise.  Maryhouse serves homeless families and Family Promise serves homeless and low-income families.  Diapers are very expensive, so this help is vital to families with limited incomes.  Knowing that their babies are dry and comfortable means a lot to parents. The offering will be taken on December 15th.  Please write “diaper offering” on your check’s memo line or use the link that will be made available December 13th on the website.
